“Beware of appearances…”
Inspired by fashion, where she worked as a stylist, and the pop art movement, Polette creates works in “trompe l’oeil”. In a light appearance of the subjects, she sows clues that translate her thoughts tinged with spirituality and psychology, without ever trying to be moralizing.
The result is a world of dreams mixed with urban dreaminess and absolute beauty, where frivolity rubs shoulders with existential questions and where ambivalence enriches the subject.
