Anne-Gaëlle's Happy STYLE
Anne-Gaëlle is interested in portraits but not only. She especially likes to immerse people in universes that correspond to them, realistic or not and especially very poetic, according to their desires.
Let’s be crazy, if you have always dreamed of being a Brazilian dancer or in another life Marie-Antoinette, everything is possible and Anne-Gaëlle knows no limits to her creativity!
She has a weakness for blue, a colour that inspires love and happiness.
Why we LOVE Anne-Gaëlle
Anne-Gaëlle immediately dazzled us with the originality of her toile de Jouy style visuals, revisited and adapted to each person’s character and life. She spends a lot of time on the “decor” of the portrait and takes us into a dreamlike universe in which we dive with delight. For those who want to be caught up in the game, her portraits are a kind of parenthesis in everyday life, like a carnival evening in pictures.
The Happy Funky PORTRAIT by Anne-Gaëlle
♥ Do you remember your first aesthetic shock?
New York. I left with my backpack, alone, at 22, thanks to my first salary. I arrived at Grand Central Station and found myself in the heart of the city, the buildings and the blue sky. A huge shock.
♥ The artist you would like to meet? What would you say to him?
Jean-Michel Basquiat, for his genius, his sensitivity, his history, his rebellion, his nerve, his rage to live and his great freedom. I would say thank you to him for giving me creative energy, I use it every day…
What is your favourite colour?
Blue without hesitation. The colour of my father’s eyes, the colour of the sea and the sky. This colour inspires me to love, to love unconditionally. For many it is red, but for me it is undoubtedly “blue” in all its shades.
♥ Which museum gives you the greatest emotion? Why do you ask?
The Rodin Museum. For the beauty of the place and its magical garden. Because in this 18th century mansion live works by Camille Claudel that make my heart leap every time I visit. “La Valse”, so much grace and sweetness, so much rage and passion, everything is absolutely sublime.
♥ Which work of art would you buy without hesitation if you had an unlimited budget?
Berthe Morisot’s Cradle.
♥ In which city do you feel happiest? Why do you think so? Share your 3 favourite addresses.
Honolulu in Hawaii, breathtakingly beautiful. The trees, the flowers, the birds, the Pacific Ocean, the scent of the Tiare flowers, the sound of the Ukulele. This dazzling city awakens our five senses: hearing, smell, touch and taste.

♥ What are your biggest sources of inspiration?
Africa is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me, as I spent my entire childhood there. Humans and especially children, their spontaneity, their vitality and especially their free spirit.
♥ What’s the funkiest thing you’ve done in your life?
Twenty-five years ago, I went on a whim to the other side of the world to seduce a man I saw at a party in Paris. It was a crazy bet, and in the end I married him!
